Managing the backlog
You are invited to participate in the Law Society's survey on the capacity of criminal legal aid firms to meet any increase in the number of cases going to the Crown Court in order to reduce the current backlog. In this short survey, criminal practitioners will be asked about the impact of increases in case numbers on their firm's ability to manage workload and secure advocates.
We will use your responses to inform our conversations with the MoJ about clearing the backlog of cases in the Crown Courts.
This survey should be completed a partner or a practitioner able to answer on behalf of their firm, one response per firm. Please forward as appropriate.
It will take approximately 5 minutes to complete the questionnaire, depending on your answers.
Your participation in this study is completely voluntary. Your survey responses will be strictly confidential and data from this research will be reported only in the aggregate.
